Justin Sparks' Biography

Justin Sparks was born and raised in the St. Louis area. He attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. In 2008, Justin began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department in the West County Precinct where he served until his transfer into the Tactical Operations Unit in 2012.

Justin has graduated from specialized training courses including Crisis Intervention Team Training, Speech and Behavioral Analysis, Compliant Surrender Hostage Negotiation, Surviving Verbal Conflict, AR-15 Armorer, SWAT I, SWAT II, Civil Disturbance Riot Training (CDRT) and Commercial Vessel Boarding (FLETC).

Justin is a certified instructor in the fields of Firearms, Taser, Less Lethal systems (OC, CS, CN and Projectiles), MACTAC (Multi-Assault-Counter-Terrorism-Action-Capabilities) and the 4E System.

Justin has been involved in training our schools on how to respond to a mass violence event. To date, he has been involved in training over 3600 teachers, staff, and administrators.
